For Health and Sustainability
Argentina has established itself as a leading biotechnology hub, supported by a highly qualified bioscience community, a dynamic pharmaceutical, food and beverage industry, and intensive research and development activities in both the public and private sectors.
Argentina is excellently positioned to take advantage of global opportunities in biotechnology. Multinational companies such as Bayer CropScience, Dow AgroSciences, Nidera and Pioneer have chosen Argentina as a base for research and development activities, thereby strengthening the local biotechnology sector.
At the same time, Argentina has developed innovative companies such as Bioceres, Biocientífica, Biogénesis-Bagó, BioSidus, Cassará and Indear, which have established a successful international presence.
Over the past 15 years, the number of biotechnology companies has almost tripled, rising from around 120 in 2008 to 340 in 2023.
Why biotechnology in Argentina?
